Airport train in USS's hands


The UK's Universities Superannuation Scheme has taken full control of Sydney's airport train, adding to its infrastructure holdings after buying Brisbane's airport train earlier this year. USS has been a joint shareholder in the Airport Link Company – which owns the train connecting Sydney to its airport – since 2007 with Westpac Essential Services Trust. Read more...

Universities Superannuation Scheme expands stake in Sydney rail line


GLOBAL – The Universities Superannuation Scheme (USS) has grown its stake in an Australian railway line, buying a nearly 50% share from a local infrastructure fund. The Westpac Essential Services Trust, managed by the AUD7bn (€4.6bn) Hastings Funds Management, parted with its 49.9% stake in Airport Link Company (ALC). Read more...
